    This scheme operates by registering with Medic Alert and buying one if their bracelets or necklets which are engraved with a phone number to call for emergency treatment advice which corresponds to your unique ID number. Paramedic staff will be able to get valuable information in an emergency. This is useful if the person has speech problems. It can be used by the person or by you if you have health problems too.   • Alarms and telecare devices
