These can usually be fitted to domestic beds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adjustable electric beds<\/strong> have to be requested as specialist equipment by a Community Nurse or Occupational Therapist following an assessment. These are more commonly used when the person is dependent on care workers who will be coming as part of\u00a0 a package of care. Different types of mattress can be supplied depending on the person\u2019s need. In some areas <strong>waterproof bed covers<\/strong> can be ordered by the District\/Community Nurses or there may be an incontinence laundry service.
