Some benefits in future may be devolved to the Scottish Government in future. The following information may be subject to change.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Universal Credit <\/strong>is the name of one the new benefits. It\u00a0may replace the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Income related employment and support allowance<\/li>\n<li>Income based job seekers allowance<\/li>\n<li>Housing benefit<\/li>\n<li>Working tax credit<\/li>\n<li>Child tax credit<\/li>\n<li>Parts of the social fund including budgeting loans and cold weather payments<\/li>\n<li>Council tax payments for low income households (with additional restrictions to be announced)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Scottish Welfare Fund provides a safety net for vulnerable people on low incomes by providing Community Care Grants and Crisis Grants.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/beta.gov.scot\/policies\/social-security\/income-related-benefits\/\" target=\"_blank\">Scottish Government Scottish welfare Fund<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Universal credit will depend on your income and personal circumstances. A basic personal amount will be paid with additions for disability, carer responsibilities, housing allowances and if you have dependent children. This benefit will be paid monthly.
