The type of stroke and the location in the brain will determine which symptoms and the severity the person has.\u00a0Not everyone who has a stroke will have the same symptoms. \u00a0A stroke\u00a0on one\u00a0side of the brain will give symptoms in the\u00a0opposite\u00a0side of the body. For more information see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chss.org.uk\/\">chss.org.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the symptoms which can occur in stroke.<\/p>\n<table border=\"1\" width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<th width=\"50%\">Symptoms which can be seen easily<\/th>\n<th width=\"50%\">Symptoms which are less obvious<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li>Balance problems.<\/li>\n<li>Problems walking.<\/li>\n<li>Limited movement or clumsiness in arm, leg or both on one side of the body.<\/li>\n<li>Muscle spasms\/ changes in the normal tone or tension in the muscles on one side of the body.( can be increased or decreased)<\/li>\n<li>Weakness in arm, leg or both on one side of the body.<\/li>\n<li>Fatigue\/Tiredness.<\/li>\n<li>Weakness in face muscles\u00a0of one side of the face\u00a0Drooling at one side of the mouth.<\/li>\n<li>Slurred or indistinct speech. Words muddled up.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li>Difficulty understanding speech or written information.<\/li>\n<li>Swallowing problems. Choking when drinking liquids.<\/li>\n<li>Loss or\u00a0problems with\u00a0feeling in\u00a0one side\u00a0of the body.<\/li>\n<li>Problems with bladder or bowel function. Incontinence or lack of control.<\/li>\n<li>Visual problems. Double vision(disappears when one eye is closed) Hemianopia (loss of vision to one side)Loss of sight in one eye.<\/li>\n<li>Perceptual\u00a0problems where the brain does not understand or make sense of information around the person.<\/li>\n<li>Thinking,\u00a0remembering and problems making plans.<\/li>\n<li>Changes in mood.
